The San Diego Troubadour
There's a lot to like about Laura Roppe's new CD, Girl Like This. It's a collection of catchy and upbeat songs delivered by an attractive singer with a big voice. Overall, it stays positive, even when it tends toward the melancholy. It doesn't try to get too heavy or deep. The main point of this CD is fun, and on that score it delivers. Every once in a while, whether you are looking or not, you come across something that makes you sit up and take notice. Whether it's talent of an actor, the voice of a singer, or the overall package of a television show or movie, there is that something that catches your attention. And when an album makes you sit up and take notice, there is probably something contained within it that sets it apart from the rest of the music released by the music industry. “Girl Like This,” the new album by singer-songwriter Laura Roppe, is one of those releases that has that certain something that sets itself apart from the rest of the music industry.

Review from Roots Music Association
Laura Roppe – When it comes to Laura Roppe, I did not know what to expect to hear other then just another artist trying to be heard. When I popped in her CD "Girl Like This" I found a songwriter reaching out expressing her words about all the "MOM's" in the world who need that one night out every now and then. As a man I never really gave it much thought about a mothers job at home until I heard "Mama Needs A Girls Night Out"… Over all I would say Laura Roppe has a voice and a style that makes me want to call all my guy friends and tell them to let all the woman in our lives go and have a girls night out! Produced & Mastered by Steve Wetherbee at Golden Track Studio's in Escondido, California I give him 2 thumbs up on doing an outstanding job on this project…You can find Laura Roppe on "Radio Submit" www.radiosubmit.com

Wildy's World CD Review
"Laura Roppe is determined to stand country music on its head. Moving back and forth between classic country and honky-tonk styles, Roppe brings a classy, soulful-alto voice that is much more powerful pure than your typical country crooner."
